Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Norbert Gronau conducts research in the field of business informatics, with a particular focus on information management, digital technologies and business processes. His research approach combines technological developments with organizational and socio-technical perspectives in order to support the digital transformation of companies and institutions.
The focus is on the analysis and design of information and knowledge systems as well as the development of methods for modeling, managing and optimizing digital business processes. Particular attention is given to how organizations can increase their efficiency, competitiveness and adaptability through the use of digital technologies and process innovations.
Prof. Gronau’s research covers both technological aspects, such as Industry 4.0, automated systems and digital infrastructures, and the interaction between people and technology.
