We research digital technologies, information systems and societal change with the aim of helping organizations operate in a sustainable, efficient and responsible manner.
Research at WIDG focuses on the analysis, design and further development of information- and process-oriented systems. The research addresses questions related to the modelling, analysis and optimization of business processes as well as the use of modern information systems.
The aim of our research is to generate new insights into digital processes, information flows and system architectures. To this end, we apply both conceptual and empirical research methods.
Our research activities are organized into several thematic areas, each led by the respective researchers. The results provide the basis for publications as well as further applied research and knowledge transfer projects.
